Privacy Policy

Johnny's Quizzes is the service and brand described in this policy. It explains what personal data we handle when you create an account, play TENQ, or buy and use a Friday Live ticket.

• Account data: email address, username, date of birth and account status.
• Quiz data: participation, answers, scores, timing and leaderboard rankings.
• Friday Live data: ticket, order and event records, and ticket codes.
• Payment data: Stripe transaction identifiers, payment status and amount. We do not receive or store full card details.
• Email data: delivery metadata for transactional emails we send you.
• Limited technical and security logs generated by running the service.

Your date of birth is stored privately server-side and is stripped from public and authentication user metadata. It is used only for age and eligibility checks. Your public-facing profile is primarily your username.

• Operating your account and authenticating you.
• Running TENQ gameplay, scoring and rankings.
• Checking age eligibility for accounts and paid events.
• Processing Friday Live purchases and fulfilling tickets.
• Delivering live events and sending transactional emails.
• Fraud prevention, security and service administration.
• Meeting legal and accounting obligations.
• Understanding and improving the service.

We currently use the following service providers to run the platform:

• Supabase — authentication, database and server functions.
• Stripe — payment processing.
• Resend — transactional email.
• Zoom — live event delivery.
• Lovable — web application hosting and build.
• Cloudflare — domain, DNS and security services.

Full payment card details are handled by Stripe and are not stored by Johnny's Quizzes.

Some providers operate internationally and may process data outside the UK. Where that happens, the applicable safeguards depend on the arrangements offered by each provider.

We keep personal data only for as long as we need it to run the service, protect it, handle disputes and meet accounting or legal obligations. Different records can have different retention periods.

Under UK data protection law you may have the right to access your data, ask for corrections, ask for deletion where applicable, and restrict or object to certain processing where applicable. Not every right applies in every situation. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

You must be 13 or over to hold an account. Paid Friday Live purchases are limited to players aged 18 or over.

We use necessary authentication and session storage in your browser so you can stay logged in and use essential functionality. We do not currently run analytics or advertising cookies. If optional analytics or marketing technologies are introduced, we will update this notice.

We do not sell personal data.
